Detained seven days ago due to his social media posts, Community House Central Executive Board member Kutay Meriç and discharged academic Serdar Başçetin have been arrested.
Discharged from Erzincan University by a statutory decree, Serdar Başçetin from Academics for Peace initiative has been arrested.
Başçetin was detained in a home raid in Antalya on February 13 due to his social media posts.
Detention period of four people detained along with Başçetin as part of the operation was extended by the prosecutor even though their depositions were completed.
Sendika.org reported that the four figures were brought to the courthouse a day after their detention period was extended.
Among the figures sent to court following their deposition, Community House Central Executive Board member Kutay Meriç and Serdar Bahçetin were arrested.
