At the 28th İstanbul Heavy Penal Court, academic Ç.A. has been sentenced to 1 year and 3 months in prison on charge of "propagandizing for an armed terrorist organization". The pronouncement of the verdict has been suspended.

Academic for Peace Dr. Cenk Yiğiter, who was discharged from the Faculty of Law at Ankara University as per a Statutory Decree and was taken into custody at his house in Ankara on November 9, was referred to the Prosecutor's Office today (November 12).
Academic Cenk Yiğiter, who was discharged from Ankara University, could not enroll at university due to a change in regulations, whose law internship was cancelled and who was penalized on for insulting the president due to a tweet, has been detained.
Dr. Cenk Yiğiter, who was discharged from the Faculty of Law at Ankara University as per a Statutory Decree and is also an Academic for Peace, was taken into custody at his house Ankara today (November 9).
Four academics have had their hearings at two courts. At the 36th Heavy Penal Court, the Prosecutor’s Office has announced its opinion as to the accusations and demanded that one academic be penalized on charge of “propagandizing for a terrorist organization.”
At the hearing at 28th Heavy Penal Court, attorney Eyüboğlu has requested recusation on the grounds that the court has already announced its verdict in the previous trials of academics and her client has been subjected to subjective practices, unlike other trials.
"13 academics have had their hearings at two courts. The Prosecutor’s Office has demanded that academic Esra Arsan be penalized as per the Article no. 7/2 of the Anti-Terror Law. Arsan has not requested that the announcement of the verdict be suspended."
The Istanbul 28th Heavy Penal Court has ruled that academic Fevziye Deniz Tarba Ceylan shall be sentenced to 1 year and 3 months in prison as per the Article no. 7/2 of the Anti-Terror Law. The prison sentence of the academic has been suspended.
